Chore services from A-Team Personal Care are hands-on packing and unpacking support for seniors who are moving — whether they’re downsizing to a smaller home, transitioning to assisted living, moving in with family, or relocating across town. Our caregivers work side-by-side with the client to sort belongings, pack boxes thoughtfully, and then unpack and put everything away at the new residence so the client can settle in without the exhaustion of doing it alone.
This is a non-medical service. Our role is to lighten the load — physically and emotionally — during a move.

How We Approach a Move

Our caregivers approach packing with patience and care — pausing when a client wants to share the story behind a wedding album, slowing down when an old photograph deserves a moment of quiet recognition. The goal is never to rush the move along. The goal is to make sure the client arrives at their new home feeling like they’ve been heard, not hurried.
To set expectations clearly, our chore services do not include moving logistics or heavy-duty labor. We don’t coordinate movers, schedule moving trucks, or arrange change-of-address. We don’t lift heavy furniture or transport belongings between locations. We don’t perform deep cleaning of the old residence or haul away unwanted items. For those tasks, families typically work with a separate moving company. What we provide is the personal, hands-on help with the boxes — sorting, packing, unpacking, and settling in.
